Eventually, 9ockins beats started hitting the Spotify algorithm and gaining hundreds of plays.
. 9ockin eventually paused from uploading his beats and started focusing on his friends career. This was a big move, “It was crazy as hell” said 9ockin. 9ockin eventually got in talks with Mark Mora about managing him and distributing for him, Mark declined. As they parted ways, 9ockin found another upcoming Toronto star “Double T”. Being from the same homeland and speaking the same language 9ockin and Double T later proved to be one of the coldest duos with singles such as “4 Fingers Deep” and “Compass” breaking hundreds of views on YouTube. “That’s my Big bro” Said 9ockin while asked about Double T.
9ockin would later sign Double T to his label “Never Forget Loyalty” and start distributing through independent distribution platforms. 9ockin. was able to partner with EMPIRE to power his label when it came to distribution. “I was starting to give up on this sh*t until I received the call” Said 9ockin. In 2021 9ockin dropped his debut collab album with Double T through EMPIRE which would gain 3,000 streams across all platforms first week.
9ockin released “4xx” a mixtape featuring platinum artist 9lokknine. The mixtape garnered over 45,000 streams first week with little to no promotion. “I finally got the hit that I was waiting for all my career” said 9ockin when asked about the mixtape. 9ockin was able to achieve this independently despite many record deals offered from big labels such as Island Records who offered 9ockin $50,000 upfront upon signing. “I gave that sh*t right back and told them to send a Mil” said 9ockin. 9ockin is anticipating a deluxe version of his mixtape “4xx” this summer. The future is looking bright and 9ockin has the whole 2021 figured out and already on his own lane.
