Everyone needs to watch out for Dk! The 17-year-old, North Carolina Bred rapper, that’s creating a serious buzz for himself during the last quarter of 2020. After deleting all his previous songs in September and deciding to go 100% in with rapping, he has not let his foot off the gas. Accumulating almost 300,000 streams in four months with cosigns from Promoting Sounds, Sauce Only, and Patrick cc, Dk is proving why he could be the next big thing out of North Carolina.
Every song he comes out with is better and the fans have seen his progression. Whether it’s his catchy flows, versatile melodies, or addictive lyricism, he pulls the listener in more each song! There’s been a trend of people comparing Dk to Polo g but we feel like he has a unique style. According to him “It’s a blessing for my name to even be brought up in conversation relating to one of the goats in the rap industry right now so the comparisons don’t bother me at all.” With Dk’s consistent hits we feel like he will be mainstream in only a matter of time.
His latest song “Life Isn’t Fair” is doing amazing. Being aired on the local radio station (K97.5) on the “drive at 5 Dj mix” people are starting to hear his name in the communities around him. With Promoting Sounds & Sauce only posting the song on their Youtube channels, the song already has over 70,000 views. “Life Isn’t Fair” really shows the fans how skilled Dk is and how advanced his flow is from his peers.
