I’m LV8R. (pronounced elevator, bc i’m always going UP)
When did you start music?
I’ve been doing music FOREVER, but I started releasing music as LV8R since June last year starting with PRESSED.
How did you start music?
I first started doing music back in like, fourth grade. I would get in trouble all the time and I was the only kid in class who still had a behavior chart. One day, some lady came in saying if we joined choir or band we could get out of class every Tuesday and Thursday, so I immediately signed up and it turned out to be fun.
When I was in college, I would throw the most insane parties, the only ones worth going to. Originally I went to school to be an opera singer, but during that time the boys and I were freestyling in the hotbox during our breaks at the sh**ty pizzeria we used to work at. One day, we we’re just vibing and I sat back and was like, “We could really do this music sh*t!” After that I learned how to make beats and then moved to Florida to learn how to be an engineer at Full Sail, doing shows and meeting artists and producers that were just as hungry to go UP as me.
Who are some of your biggest inspirations?
A$AP Rocky, Tyler, the Creator, Kanye… I’d be lying to you if I said I’d listen to their music all day every day. What inspires me about them, aside from the music obviously, is the fact that they have their hand in multiple industries; music, fashion, art, all of that. They’re more than just musicians, they’re Artists, and not many can claim that title nowadays.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
I see myself right next to the people I look up to right now, helping bring up the people that look up to me. It’s all a chain reaction. When A$AP and Tyler were first popping early 2010s, that planted a seed for me to be the one to pave the way next. I see myself still doing the music, touring and selling merch, but also really working on my luxury fashion brand and connect with artists and designers from all over the world.

I have 500,000+ plays in the last 12 months on Soundcloud, I took down a lot of music that was doing numbers on SoundCloud and Spotify before I started dropping music under LV8R.
What’s your most recent song?
My most recent song is called TRU ME 11:11. It’s what we call in music as “non-strophic” meaning it’s ever changing through the beginning, middle, and end, unlike most music.
