Havik is next up out of Washington! Havik first started making music back in 2018 when he was at a friend’s house. He saw his friend during the creative process and was instantly attached to music. “I Was over at a friend’s house who was heavily into making music at the time and it legit got me hooked! Just seeing how you could use your voice to make something so special was crazy to me”. Havik has a number of inspirations that are always changing. We got the chance to catch up with him and asked who are your biggest inspirations he had this to say. “My biggest Inspirations tend to change a lot but at the moment it’s toosii, mike (Mike Stud), lil skies and the kid laroi too, i love versatility in artists’ ‘. Throughout the Pandemic music was a little slow for Havik as he was focusing on stuff in his personal life to set a foundation for himself before really going all in with music. “Music has been slow during the pandemic but mainly because I was using this time to set a foundation in life, I got a job, my license, a car, and a place all within a year. Now that I’m settled I’m back into music all the way, ready to set the tone for this year and 2022”. Havik has a list of things he loves about being a musical artist but his favorite thing that also motivates him the most is making a positive impact on other people’s lives through his music. “The main thing I enjoy about being an artist is seeing how your music has positively affected someone’s life. I’ve had people dm me and tell me that i’ve inspired them to chase their dream or they say that I helped them through a break up. Hearing things like that will always hit me in a special way and motivates me when I’m down to keep going”. Havik’s creative process is similar and different from most other artists. He just starts with a beat, His thoughts and starts making music from there! “​​When I go about making a song I find a beat that makes me feel something, then I turn the mic on and freestyle until I find something that is catchy. Once I find my hook I transition into writing the verses, this normally depends on the kinda song and what mood I’m in. if i’m really feeling it I will freestyle and piece together the song, if I get stuck ya boy grabbing a pen”. We know nobody knows what the future holds but we decided to ask Havik where he sees himself in five years. He gave us the realest answer any artist has ever given us. “If I’m being honest I don’t know, I truly live in the moment. I just live life where I lay my head on the pillow. Knowing I’m happy with what I did that day. all i know is imma be happy”. Havik has had a lot of memorable moments in his career, From his first song hitting 10,000 streams to his first show being sold out. “I sold out my first ever show, sold out a show in a day between just my fans, my first song ever got over 10k plays, i mix and master all of my own music at home, like legit a one man team lol”. At the time of this writing Havik has a little over 140,000 streams between Spotify and Soundcloud. His most recent song “Slide” is available on all major streaming platforms and his next song “say it ‘’ drops August 22nd 2021 at Midnight! To end off the write up Havik had a couple things he wanted to say to anybody reading, “I used to play a bunch of sports until my football gear got stolen in high school once I got the starter position. I took that as a time to pursue music and it was honestly the best decision I ever made. oh yeah and i got put on my city’s radio station at the beginning of 2020”.
