My name is Hidigen and i started music back in 2018 but started posting in 2020, I started music on a windows xp with a blue yeti and like them 1 dollar earbuds from dollar tree lmao. I had made a bet with one of my bestfriends Erik, that I could turn a shitty song I made in 6th grade into a full album to show that I had gotten better. Through that I fell in love with making it but my reason for starting was just wanting to one day make an Anime opening for an anime and watch the animation on it, and conveying my feelings into a song. It’s almost like a venting system but also a lil diary because I can go back to any song and remember the time and space I was in when I made it. I’m 18 years old and based out of Jacksonville, Florida. I was born in Philadelphia though and I was raised there for like 7 to 8 years. I think my favorite part about making music is just putting my feelings into melodies, whether that’s making beats, lyrics, vocals. I just love messing with sounds and seeing where it takes me. Honestly, I believe it’s the pandemic that gave me the kickstart I needed to grow wise to where I am now. The pandemic (which I guess people would find weird) helped me more than hurt me. I met some of my closest friends through the pandemic and just being online. My biggest inspirations to my music are Aimer, radwimps, BiSH, EMPiRE, basically hella J-pop, J-rock artists are some of my biggest. I get a lot of inspiration from people like July, Jayj, suzino, and my in real life homie Erik. 5 years is SOOOO LONGNGNGNNG but so fast in the grand scheme of things, but in 5 years i just wanna be healthy be comfortable where i will have landed in my life during that time and HOPEFULLY AN ANIME OPENING DONE. In total across only Spotify, YouTube, and Soundcloud I have gained 347,843 thousand total streams. The most recent song I have put out is First Date. It’s a Pop Punk song made for them summertime car rides, and first dates. I believe what makes me stand out as an artist is just who I am. I just be myself and don’t differ from myself. but if we get into it music wise what makes me stand out there is just how my brain thinks of songs and makes them. My creative process is watching an anime, seeing how I connect to it, holding onto the feeling and making or finding beats that convey the feeling and I write about how I feel in my own life. Of course I have songs where I don’t do that like Eighteen where I just write from my heart and how I personally feel in a moment and turn it into a song. When people listen to my music I want them to feel a sense of understanding about how I feel and like they have been heard as well. Confirming it here first, I am currently working on an EP. I haven’t confirmed the name of it but I do know it will have a mix of J-rock, pop punk, and alternative rock. I want people to know that the 715 ARMY GROWING HELLA THIS YEAR YESUHSUSHUSHUSUHS LMAO.
