Izzy is next up out of Georgia! The 24 year old artist is originally from Riverdale Georgia but moved to Atlanta. He first started music in 2019 just before the start of the Covid Pandemic. We had the chance to catch up with Izzy and decided to ask him “How did you first start in music?” He said this. “Went to the studio with my nigga 3 and yea just started workin from there.” We found this to be a good answer as lots of artists who are now mainstream were first introduced to the studio or the music scene by friends. Izzys reason for starting music was to have fun and have an outlet to use his creative abilities for. Different artists enjoy different things about what they do. Some artists like performing live the most while others like the creative process of starting with a blank canvas and turning it into a song and everything in between. This is why we asked Izzy what he enjoys most about being an artist, He said this. “The creative aspect to really put some fye shit together it’s an amazing feeling.” This answer really shows that Izzy is in music for the right reasons. He is in music to both create and express feelings for himself and others. The Pandemic has affected and put a strain on all of our lives in different ways. Some artists have been very demotivated from the Pandemic while others are working harder than ever. This is why we asked Izzy “How was music through the Pandmeic?” He had this to say. “Bruh shit was hard for real I had my baby girl during covid man so i really aint record as much as I wanted too. Most of my money was for the songs and beats but I was mostly tryna put my sound together.” The Pandemic was very hard for Izzy not just as an artist but as a man. Having a kid opens up a new chapter in life and would without a doubt be hard to do during the circumstances of the Pandemic. But Izzy was still working and finding a new sound to use as an artist. To know a little bit more of what shaped Izzy’s music we asked him “Who are your biggest inspirations?” He had this to say. “Breezy fosho nigga versatile, Uzi definitely the goat, HOV, ye, and tory i got a lot fr”. We thought the list of names he gave us were very diverse! He has new school artists like lil uzi vert and old school artists like Jay Z. When listening to Izzys music you can hear a mixture of these inspirations meshed together creating a whole new sound. We, like everybody else, do not know what the future holds but we do know that it is important to have a plan outlined or roughly sketched out so you can know if you are reaching your goals. So we asked Izzy “Where do you see yourself in 5 years?” He responded with this. Wealthy and healthyy. Wealth and longevity is what i aimin at. Really changing shit up in the industry too.” We find both of these goals to be possible as long as Izzy keeps the same grind and determination up, We think that Izzy can without a doubt change the scene and usher in a new sound for the underground. To this date Izzy has around 6 Thousand streams on the internet his most recent song titled “We up” featuring 3 is live on all major streaming platforms.
