Kill Bryant is next up out of the Bronx. The 27 year old artist first started making music at the young age of 8! We had the chance to catch up with Kill Bryant and decided to ask him “How did you first start music?” He had this to say. “I used to record over instrumentals on an old Dell computer using a 10 dollar mic until freshman year in HS, when I began hitting studio sessions.” We found this to be a great response! Lots of people make excuses for not doing what they want to do, Kill Bryant is the exact opposite of this as he uses anything and everything he has at his disposal to accomplish his goals. Different artists enjoy different things about what they do. Some artists like performing live the most while others like the creative process of starting with a blank canvas and turning it into a song and everything in between. This is why we asked Kill Bryant what he enjoys most about being an artist, He said this. “Being able to connect with other people through just my art, I love when a person can relate to my music because that means it had a strong impact on them and I think that shit is beautiful.” With Kill Bryant starting music at the young age of 8 you can guarantee that he is in it for the right reasons. Some people start making music later in life with hopes of money or fame, Kill Bryant started music with one thing in mind and still has the same thing in mind which is making art for people to perceive new ideas or to relate to. The Pandemic has affected and put a strain on all of our lives in different ways. Some artists have been very demotivated from the Pandemic while others are working harder than ever. This is why we asked Kill Bryant “How has music been through the Pandmeic?” He had this to say. “I think during quarantine I learned so much about myself & it has allowed the music I make to feel more soulful and true. It’s been good.” We think that this is great! Kill Bryant improved and transformed into both a better person and a better artist during the Pandmeic, Lots of other people can not say the same. To know a little bit more of what shaped Kill Bryant’s music we asked him “Who are your biggest inspirations?” He had this to say. “Bob Marley, J. Cole, my cousin Trey.” We do not Kill Bryant’s cousin Trey but we know that it is always good to have someone close to you when you are making music, They can help to push you to work harder and curate your music. We can also see the Bob Marley and J. Cole inspiration from the vibe Kill Bryant creates and the lyrics he uses. We, like everybody else, do not know what the future holds but we do know that it is important to have a plan outlined or roughly sketched out so you can know if you are reaching your goals. So we asked Kill Bryant “Where do you see yourself in 5 years?” He responded with this. “Probably somewhere on the beach, living my absolute best life.” We find this to be a reachable goal if Kill Bryant keeps up his hard work and unique music. To this date Kill Bryant has “Enough streams to buy an island” which is a sarcastic remark likely mocking streaming platforms for not paying enough back to artists and how it is unfair how great artists usually can not live off of their art, despite its beauty. His most recent single titled “Part ll” is available on all major streaming platforms! To end off the write up we asked Kill Bryant “What makes you stand out most as an artist?” we decided to leave his response competently unedited for anybody reading this to enjoy. “My diversity, I like bending genres and trying different sounds, but I also like baby making music and hardcore rap. It all depends on the mood, but yeah my diversity for sure.”
