$miggs is an up and coming artist out of Lynn, Massachusetts, He first got my attention with the song and visulas for his single “do or die”. The dark vibey melodic trap song is something you could hear on the radio thinking it was recorded in a top notch studio but it is something found in the depths of the underground! The music video was shot in Las vegas, Nevada which gives the song beautiful and almost perfect visuals that look like a label’s work but in reality is really put out by an independent artist. $miggs also does a very good job switching up the flow from the hook where he is singing smooth and melodically to his flow which is fast and aggressive. $miggs first started releasing his own singles in early 2018. We got a chance to catch up with $miggs and decided to ask him how he first started making music. He had this to say “Music has always been a constant obsession in my life then my close friend urged me to start making beats. We split the price three ways to buy our first mic and we kept the mic setup at my house so I eventually started rapping more and producing less. My first song did 10k in about a month and I never stopped”. $miggs has lots of different inspirations in music but he told us his main four, “Definitely Kanye in the sense of being a great artist in general not just the music itself. Lil Wayne and Drake are some more just to name, And Mac Miller really inspired me on a personal level by me just coming from a similar background”. We know nobody knows what the future holds but we decided to ask $miggs where he sees himself musically in five years. “I see myself being a platinum recording artist, hopefully fortunate enough to help the people around him. I see myself wanting to bring more attention to all the artists in my area once I have a bigger platform to project it with”. At the time of this writing $miggs has over 25 Thousand streams across all platforms, His most recent song “Do or Die ‘’ is also available on all platforms along with the great visuals being on YouTube. To end off the write up $miggs had one last thing to say announcing a mixtape! “I have a debut mixtape called All Systems Go coming out August 13th. I put every ounce of my energy into making that tape and every listen is appreciated”.
