T.G.C Waltdogg is an artist heating up out of North Florida! Similar to a couple of different mainstream artists like the former YBN crew Waltdogg has an observation at the start of his name, The observation T.G.C stands for “Trap Go’n Crazy”. T.G.C Waltdogg has been making music for over 20 years and started making music at only 13 years old! He first started music when he went to audition for 95 south. After the audition he started going harder by recording more and branding himself better. Waltdoggs main two musical influences are both Rick Ross and Jay Z, He loves both the quality of their music and the authenticity of their lyrics. We had a chance to catch up with Waltdogg and asked him “Where do you see yourself in 5 years” he had this to say. “At this pace and persistence I’ll definitely be on my third platinum album”. We do not know what the future holds for T.G.C Waltdogg but with his drive and work ethic anything is possible! We also got a chance to ask Waltdogg about his tough and inspiring come up story, He said this about his come up. “I really came from the bottom a couple times, you name it and I’ve been through it! From being incarcerated twice to when my home was invaded where I was shoot 10 time protecting my family” Waltdogg has really came up from the mud and does not fake a come up story like many other artists today. Throughout the Pandemic working on and promoting music has become a little easier for Waltdog since more people are online and are active on social media. T.G.C Waltdoggs Favorite thing about being an artist is other people messing with his work, Here is what he said when we asked him that question. “When ppl tell me I’m raw or have what it takes to make it. Like when people that’ve been locked away for 20 years here you are rapping on a prison yard and come up to and say you’re fye, It’s a very meaningful feeling”. Waltdogg has a variety of process when it comes to making music. Sometimes he writes first then finds a beat, Sometimes he makes a hook then works on the song from there and other times he hears the beat and writes to it.
